About the Nu-Vista 300
The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 300 is a high-end stereo power amplifier introduced in 1999, designed as a limited edition run of only 500 units. It features a sophisticated hybrid design incorporating rare 6CW4 Nuvistor triode tubes on the input stage, bridging the sonic qualities of tubes and transistors. The amplifier delivers 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms with a frequency response from 10Hz to 56kHz and an extremely low total harmonic distortion of 0.003%. It has a high signal-to-noise ratio of 113dB and can drive speaker loads down to 2 ohms. The Nu-Vista 300 uses a unique choke-regulated power supply and a physical layout optimized for performance and stability. It is capable of delivering very high peak currents and power, with a neutral sound signature and minimal coloration. The amplifier measures 330 x 170 x 490 mm and comes with a separate power supply. Due to the limited availability of Nuvistor tubes, no further production is planned, making it a rare collector's item with a tube life expectancy of approximately 100,000 hours. It pairs ideally with the Nu-Vista preamplifier for a high-definition audio system.
