About the Blackburn 12AX7 1950's
A legendary NOS (New Old Stock) or used preamp tube from Mullard's Blackburn plant, featuring the original long plate construction and halo getter design. Known for its musical midrange, smooth top-end response, and robust low-end definition, this tube is highly sought after by audiophiles and guitarists alike. The 1950s versions often exhibit copper support rods and dual mica spacers for reduced microphonics.
