About the Destiny
The Miyajima Destiny moving-coil phono cartridge outputs about 0.23mV with an impedance of approximately 16 Ohms and a compliance of 9×10^-6 cm/dyne. It weighs 13.3g and uses a tapered bamboo cantilever with a nude line contact diamond stylus. The bamboo used is a special variety historically used by Thomas Edison, sourced from Kyoto, Japan. Recommended tracking force is around 2.1 to 2.5g. The cartridge is praised for its natural sound and musicality, with a robust build that resists damage. It is considered the top model in Miyajima's moving-coil line and is offered with a seven-day full money-back trial by the US distributor Robyatt Audio.
