The Ming Da MC-805 mono pair are high-quality single-ended Class A tube mono-block amplifiers featuring 805 triode output tubes. Each amplifier delivers 40 watts of power into 4 or 8 ohm loads with a frequency response of approximately 18Hz to 30kHz ±1dB. They have an input sensitivity of 400mV and input impedance of 100kΩ, with distortion less than or equal to 1% at full power and a signal-to-noise ratio of 88dB. The amplifiers use gold-plated RCA inputs and 4mm gold-plated speaker posts for outputs. Each unit weighs about 22 kg and measures roughly 230mm wide, 480mm deep, and 240mm high. The MC-805 is praised for its lucid mid-band quality, wide soundstage, and strong, well-controlled bass when paired with well-damped loudspeakers or electrostatic speakers.
