About the 2882 3d
The Metric Halo 2882 3d is a compact, portable USB Type-C audio interface offering eight mic/line/instrument inputs with individually switchable phantom power, switchable impedance, and -20 dB pads accessible via MH Console software. It includes eight balanced 1/4" analog outputs, a headphone amp with front-panel mute and dim controls, and comprehensive front-panel metering. The interface features 24-bit/96kHz converters on all channels, with up to 192 kHz D/A conversion. It integrates a dual-core DSP that powers over 100 included plug-ins without burdening the host computer's CPU, enabling near-zero latency mixing, routing, and processing. Digital I/O includes stereo AES3, S/PDIF, and eight channels of ADAT optical I/O switchable to TOSLINK format. Synchronization is supported via BNC word clock connectors and MH Link ports for multi-unit setups. The 2882 3d runs on USB bus power or any DC power source (9V-30V), making it highly portable and suitable for studio, mobile, and broadcast applications. It supports Mac, Windows, iOS, and Linux platforms and includes robust software for multitrack recording, mixing, and monitoring.
