About the MC1502
The MC1502 is a direct replacement for the MC2152 Limited Edition 70th Anniversary Vacuum Tube Amplifier, offering identical audio specifications but in a more traditional McIntosh design. It features the timeless styling of the classic MC275 Vacuum Tube Amplifier but with twice the power output. The amplifier is powered by eight KT88 output vacuum tubes and eight small signal tubes (four 12AX7A and four 12AT7). It uses McIntosh's patented Unity Coupled Circuit output transformer technology, allowing it to deliver full power to speakers with 2, 4, or 8 ohm impedance. The MC1502 includes both balanced and unbalanced inputs, Solid Cinch speaker binding posts, and Power Control technology for seamless integration with other McIntosh components.
