About the XTC8
The MartinLogan Motion XTC8 is an advanced in-ceiling speaker from the Motion XT CI series, designed for premium whole-house audio systems and home theaters. It surpasses the standard Motion CI MC8 with its largest Folded Motion XT (FMT XT) tweeter—offering 40% larger radiating surface, 80x30-degree dispersion for reduced room artifacts and enhanced clarity—and an 8-inch woven Kevlar/Nomex woofer in a cast aluminum basket. The low-mass diaphragm tweeter delivers electrostatic-like speed, detail, and vanishingly low distortion. Vojtko crossovers ensure seamless integration with custom air core inductors and polypropylene capacitors. Ideal for acoustically challenging rooms, it provides precise sound placement and immersive performance.
