The Marantz MM7055 is a 5-channel power amplifier designed for home theater and multi-room audio systems. It delivers 140 watts per channel into 8 ohms with 0.08% total harmonic distortion (THD) across the full audio bandwidth (20 Hz - 20 kHz), and 170 watts per channel into 6 ohms. The amplifier features a discrete current feedback circuit for accurate and natural sound reproduction, a massive power supply with a multiple-secondary EI-core transformer, and over 65,000 µF of custom-designed energy storage capacity. It supports both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs for each channel, allowing flexible connectivity. The chassis includes a heavy gauge steel construction with an extruded aluminum thermal tunnel for efficient heat dissipation and temperature-sensing forced air cooling for reliability. Additional features include gold-plated binding post speaker terminals, DC trigger input/output, IR flasher input, and a detachable power cord.
