About the Mapletree Line 2CRM

The Mapletree Audio Design Line 2CRM is a vacuum-tube line-level preamplifier and updated Line 2C variant. It uses two NOS 12SN7GT dual-triode tubes (with rear-panel selection for compatible 6SN7GTB tubes), an Alps motorized remote volume control with IR receiver/handset, volume and balance controls, and a separate PS 2D power supply. Its circuit is optimized for low noise and distortion, uses polypropylene-film coupling capacitors and precision metal-film resistors, and provides three stereo RCA line inputs plus two parallel stereo RCA outputs. The parallel outputs support bi-amping, a headphone amplifier, or home-theater integration. A front-panel Home Theater mode routes the selected input directly to the outputs while automatically disconnecting the active preamplifier circuitry; the preamp may be switched off in this mode. The included external PS 2D supply can also be shared with a compatible Mapletree Phono 3 preamplifier through its additional power connection. Manufacturer documentation lists optional exotic-hardwood end panels and an Auricap coupling-capacitor option, but no additional measured specifications for those options were published.
