About the LRS
The LRS is the original Little Ribbon Speaker from Magnepan. It is a two-way quasi-ribbon planar-magnetic panel that stands on the floor. Magnepan launched it in 2019 at $650 a pair, sold direct or through a dealer with a 60-day home trial. The LRS+ replaced it in 2022. Magnepan rated it at 86 dB (2.83 V, 500 Hz), 4 ohms nominal and 50 Hz to 20 kHz. Stereophile measured a 3 ohm minimum. The panel is 48 inches tall, 14-1/2 inches wide and 1 inch deep. Like every Magnepan it radiates front and back, so it needs room behind it. The frame came in natural or black oak or dark cherry, with off-white, gray or black fabric.
