About the D-06u
The Luxman D-06u is a high-end SACD/CD player and USB DAC succeeding the flagship D-08u, featuring Luxman's proprietary LxDTM disc transport mechanism for precise, vibration-free playback. It employs dual Burr-Brown PCM1792A DAC chips in a dual-mono configuration with a 32-bit DSP for superior sound quality, including a theoretical dynamic range of 132dB. Designed and built in Japan with a fully balanced analog output stage, asymmetrical layout, and dedicated power supplies, it delivers exceptional resolution, realism, and musical engagement from discs and computer files via asynchronous USB. Production spanned 2014-2019, and it is no longer manufactured.
