About the Linto
The Linn Linto is a solid-state, direct-coupled moving coil (MC) phono preamplifier featuring a switch-mode power supply called the Linn Brilliant. It offers two gain settings (64 dB high gain and 54 dB low gain) to accommodate both low and higher output MC cartridges. The Linto is designed to have high immunity to radio frequency interference and uses ultra-short signal paths and surface mount technology to minimize noise and interference. It provides a very clean and silky presentation of vinyl playback, enhancing musical detail and subtly minimizing some LP inadequacies. The unit has gold-plated RCA input and output connectors, with two pairs of outputs. It was introduced in 1997 and is considered a reference standard for MC phono preamplifiers, especially synergistic with Linn LP12 turntables.
