About the Klout

The Linn Klout is considered one of the finest amplifiers produced by Linn, widely used in high-end Linn systems. It features two separate amplifiers in one chassis, each with its own fully regulated and isolated power supply for ultimate loudspeaker control and stability. The amplifier is built with a massive heatsink extrusion and a one-piece thick metal front panel, heat sinks, and rear panel, making it very sturdy and heavy. It supports multiple mains voltages (100/120/220/240V ±10%) and includes protection circuitry against transistor overload, over-current, short circuit, over-temperature, voltage irregularities, and DC input. The Klout offers three sets of speaker outputs for bi- and tri-wiring or auxiliary loudspeakers, parallel line-in/line-out connectors for multi-amplifier setups, and a remote switch-on facility. It also accommodates Linn active crossover modules internally for improved playback performance and simple active system installation. The amplifier uses surface-mount electronics for improved heat dissipation and reliability, and an ultra-short signal path to preserve music signal integrity. It is praised for its neutral sound with little to no coloration, fast response, clean deep bass, detailed highs, and realistic mids.
