About the Basic C1
The Kenwood Basic C1 is a stereo control amplifier (preamplifier) from Kenwood’s Basic series, designed to connect and control multiple audio sources ahead of a separate power amplifier. It has a phono equalizer with selectable MM and MC cartridge support, two tape inputs and tape-monitor functions, and controls for volume, balance, bass, treble, and continuously adjustable loudness. It also includes a subsonic filter and a relay-protected preamplifier output.
