About the LINEb
The Karan Acoustics LINEb is a Master Collection line-level solid-state preamplifier built as a fully balanced, class-A design. It is positioned as a one-chassis preamp in Karan’s lineup and is described as sharing the same core circuit concept as the more expensive LINEa. Published specifications list 4 balanced XLR inputs and 2 single-ended RCA inputs, plus 1 balanced XLR output and 1 single-ended RCA output. The LINEb is noted for very low noise, high transient speed, and wide bandwidth, with factory gain set to 6 dB and adjustable to 9 dB internally.
