The Jelco SA-750D is a premium static-balance S-shaped tonearm, recognized as Jelco's top-of-the-range model. It features a built-in oil damping system, removable two-pin headshell (often the high-quality magnesium HS-25 model), and Jelco's patented single-point cross suspension bearing system for low friction (20mg vertical and lateral). Key specifications include: effective length of 229mm, overhang of 15mm, offset angle of 22 degrees, mounting distance of 214mm (Linn mounting pattern), adjustable height from 38 to 60mm, and cartridge weight range of 4 to 12g. It employs spring-applied bias compensation and includes oxygen-free copper tonearm wires with gold-plated RCA or balanced XLR terminations. The arm is machined to high standards, suitable for mid-compliance cartridges, and is praised for its smooth operation, build quality, and compatibility with most turntables.
