About the P02

The Esoteric P-02 is a flagship SACD/CD transport designed for audiophiles seeking the highest fidelity digital playback. It employs Esoteric's latest VRDS-NEO VMK-3.5-20S transport mechanism, known for exceptional stability and vibration control, including a double-chassis structure and a heavy, rigid non-resonant chassis. The P-02 converts CD signals to 48-bit playback resolution, enhancing processing capability. It features multiple digital outputs including coaxial, AES, and S400, and supports the proprietary ES-Link3 interface for high-bit-rate audio data transmission. The transport is engineered with a separate power supply for its clock module to minimize jitter and noise, ensuring precise timing. The unit weighs approximately 31 kg and measures 445 x 162 x 438 mm. It includes a remote control and allows display brightness adjustment and on/off control. The P-02 is designed to be paired with the Esoteric D-02 DAC for optimal performance, forming a system with extremely low noise floor and exceptional inner detail reproduction. The build quality emphasizes vibration isolation and mechanical rigidity to reduce resonance and external interference, making it suitable for the most demanding high-end audio systems.
