The Eminent Technology LFT 8a is a hybrid loudspeaker that combines planar magnetic transducers for midrange and tweeter frequencies with a low Q 8-inch woofer in a sealed enclosure. It features push-pull dynamic planar drivers with ceramic magnets arranged in a unique steel channel frame to focus magnetic flux and ensure linear diaphragm drive. The speaker has a frequency response of 25 Hz to 20 kHz ±4 dB in a typical room, sensitivity of 83 dB at 1 watt/1 meter, and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. The woofer covers 25 to 180 Hz, the midrange panel covers 180 Hz to 10 kHz, and the tweeter covers 10 kHz and above. The enclosure measures 13 inches wide by 60 inches high by 1 inch deep, weighing 65 pounds each. The design emphasizes phase accuracy, low distortion, and a seamless blend between drivers, resulting in crisp, detailed, and dynamic sound reproduction. The speaker is available in oak, black painted oak, or walnut finishes and comes with a 3-year parts and 1-year labor warranty. It requires a minimum of 75 watts of amplifier power for optimal performance.
