About the Acute Classic
EAR Yoshino Ltd. Acute Classic is a UK-made valve CD player and DAC designed by Tim de Paravicini. It combines CD playback with digital inputs for use as a standalone DAC, and includes an analog volume control so it can be connected directly to power amplifiers or active speakers. The design uses two ECC88/PCC88-type valves, dedicated output transformers, and a Wolfson WM8741 DAC to deliver high-resolution digital playback with tube-based analog output character.
