The EAR Yoshino MC4 is a premium step-up transformer specifically crafted for moving coil (MC) cartridges. It is designed to boost the voltage of MC cartridges, making it suitable for phonostages with insufficient gain or for upgrading existing phonostages. The MC4 features a completely passive design, requiring no additional power supply, and is known for its excellent channel separation and balance. It offers four input impedances (3Ω, 6Ω, 12Ω, and 40Ω) and corresponding voltage gains (x30, x24, x18, x10), ensuring compatibility with a variety of MC cartridges. The transformer is built with high-quality materials, featuring a chrome facia and transformer covers, and gold-plated RCA connectors for both inputs and outputs.
