About the AVR-2312CI

The Denon AVR-2312CI is a mid-level 7.2-channel home theater receiver featuring seven discrete 105-watt channels (into 8 ohms, 20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.05% THD) with equal power and quality for all channels. It supports Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Pro Logic IIz, and high-definition audio formats for immersive surround sound. The receiver includes 7 HDMI 1.4a inputs and 1 output with 1080p video scaling, 3D pass-through, Audio Return Channel (ARC), Deep Color, x.v.Color, and auto lip-sync. It offers extensive connectivity including 2 optical and 2 coaxial digital audio inputs, 5 analog A/V inputs (including front-panel composite), dual subwoofer outputs, and no phono input (requiring an external phono preamp for turntables). The unit supports network features such as AirPlay, internet radio, DLNA streaming, and control via the Denon Remote App for iOS devices. It features a high-current, low-impedance amplifier design, Compressed Audio Restorer for enhanced compressed music playback, and vibration-resistant construction for improved sound quality. The AVR-2312CI also includes Audyssey MultEQ XT room calibration with a tower microphone for precise speaker setup, and supports multi-room audio with dual-zone output. Dimensions are approximately 17-1/8" W x 6-9/16" H x 16-1/16" D, weighing 24.2 lbs. It was released around 2010-2016 and is no longer in current production but remains a solid choice for networked home theater systems.
