As an upsampling transport, it plays Red Book CDs in their native 16-bit/44.1kHz format while simultaneously offering upsampling to DSD, DSDx2, or DXD, and plays SACDs in their native DSD format with the option to downsample to 16-bit/44.1kHz. Multiple high-precision digital outputs are provided, including dual AES/EBU for encrypted DSD, DXD, or DSDx2, a separate AES output for 16/44.1, and two S/PDIF outputs (RCA and BNC) that always output 16/44.1, allowing seamless integration with dCS DACs and other high-end digital systems.
