About the QRD
Core Audio Designs produces handmade QRD (Quadratic Residue Diffuser) acoustic diffusers tailored for audiophile listening rooms, particularly paired with high-end speakers like Clarisys Studios. These units feature a classic 1D or 2D QRD design using solid wood construction to scatter sound waves evenly, reducing echoes and flutter while preserving natural ambience. They are built to order, as evidenced by customer build journeys shared on audiophile forums, making them ideal for living rooms or dedicated HiFi setups without dedicated listening spaces. The AD-2 v.4 model is listed at per pair on their site, positioning them as premium, custom acoustic treatments for superior room acoustics.
