About the CA-101
The Classe Audio CA-101 is a high-performance solid-state power amplifier designed for audiophiles seeking musical accuracy and reliability. It delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms in stereo mode and can be bridged to provide 350 watts into 8 ohms mono. The amplifier features a massive shielded toroidal transformer and a unique capacitor distribution system that places many small capacitors close to the circuitry for rapid energy response, resulting in excellent dynamics and natural sound. It supports both regular RCA and balanced XLR inputs (not simultaneously), with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz and a very low total harmonic distortion of 0.03%. The CA-101 weighs approximately 15.45 kg (35 lbs) and measures 19 in x 5.5 in x 14.25 in (483 x 140 x 362 mm). It has a signal-to-noise ratio of 128 dB and a voltage gain of 29.02 dB. The amplifier is finished in a two-tone design with a heavy metal faceplate and side caps, available in black or soft shadow silver. It is known for its musicality, bass control, and warm midrange, making it suitable for high-end stereo systems. The CA-101 is no longer in production but remains highly regarded in the audiophile community.
