About the Morganna 24
The Morganna 24, introduced by Camelot Technology Inc. at CES 1998, is a high-end 24-bit CD player featuring the Crystal CS4390 DAC chip, the same as used in some Meridian models. It offers both balanced and single-ended analog outputs and has sufficient output power to drive power amplifiers directly. Unlike some contemporaries, it lacks a DVD transport and thus does not support 24/96 format discs, though its DAC chip is capable of such playback in compatible transports. Priced around $2,194 at launch, it was positioned as a premium yet accessible option in the late 1990s HiFi market. No current production or sales information is available, indicating it is a vintage product.
