About the Artis KARA
The Cabasse Artis KARA is the most advanced model in the prestigious Artis range by Cabasse. It is a four-way, two-driver loudspeaker system combining a Baltic II mid-high 'head' with a bass-reflex enclosure housing a 30 cm woofer with a Duocell membrane. The key feature is the triaxial TC 22 driver loaded by a spherical waveguide, which includes three sections: a low-mid section with a Kaladex annular membrane, a midrange section with a smaller polypropylene-silicate annular membrane, and a high-frequency section with a 29.5 mm synthetic dome tweeter. The speaker measures 38 x 140 x 55 cm and weighs 39 kg. It is designed for exceptional performance and aesthetic appeal, with a semi-cylindrical cabinet featuring non-parallel surfaces to reduce resonance. Originally priced at approximately 11,000 EUR per pair in 2002, the KARA is highly regarded for its precise imaging and dynamic range.
