The Bryston BDA-2 is a state-of-the-art digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that offers exceptional sonic performance through advanced re-sampling and re-clocking of digital input signals. It features an asynchronous USB input capable of handling sample rates up to 192 kHz, making it suitable for high-resolution audio playback. The BDA-2 is equipped with two 32-bit AKM DACs, providing improved sound quality compared to its predecessor, the BDA-1, which used 24-bit Crystal DACs. The device includes multiple inputs such as TosLink optical, RCA and BNC SPDIF, AES/EBU, and USB, allowing it to connect to various digital sources. It offers both single-ended RCA and balanced XLR analog outputs, along with a digital SPDIF bypass output. The BDA-2 supports a range of audio codecs including WAV, FLAC, AIFF, WMA, and MP3. It is designed with Bryston's discrete Class A analog output circuitry for enhanced audio fidelity.
