About the CM10 S2

The B&W CM10 S2 is a high-performance 3-way vented-box floorstanding loudspeaker introduced between 2014 and 2017. It features a drive unit configuration with three 165mm (6.5 inch) paper/Kevlar cone bass drivers, a 150mm (6 inch) woven Kevlar cone FST midrange driver, and a 25mm (1 inch) decoupled double dome aluminium tweeter mounted on top of the cabinet. The speaker cabinet is extensively braced and available in Gloss Black, Rosenut veneer, or Satin White finishes. It measures approximately 1087mm in height (including tweeter and plinth), 200mm in width, and 366mm in depth, weighing 33.5 kg per speaker. The CM10 S2 offers a frequency response of 45Hz to 28kHz (±3dB), with crossover points at 350Hz and 4kHz, and a sensitivity of 90dB SPL (2.83V, 1m). It has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms (minimum 3.1 ohms) and is recommended to be paired with amplifiers rated between 30 and 200 watts. The speaker includes B&W's Flowport technology for bass enhancement and a decoupled midrange and tweeter assembly to reduce distortion. The tweeter is protected by a steel mesh grille requiring a special tool for removal. The cabinet design includes a plinth for stability and magnetic grilles for easy attachment.
