About the Alpha 3
The Alpha DAC Reference Series 3 is a two-channel digital-to-analog converter with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs. It accepts 24-bit PCM audio at sampling rates from 32 kHz to 192 kHz, and supports MQA rendering and HDCD decoding. Digital inputs are AES/EBU on XLR, two S/PDIF inputs on BNC, and Toslink optical. It also provides selectable digital filters, digital volume and balance controls, and firmware upgrades through its signal inputs.
