About the BeoLab Penta
The original BeoLab Penta is a floorstanding, semi-active loudspeaker introduced in 1986. Its pentagonal column cabinet houses nine drivers—four woofers, four midrange units and one tweeter—along with two bass-reflex ports. The amplifier is integrated into the base of the speaker, and the design includes a display for source and volume information. This entry refers to the original BeoLab Penta, not the later Penta 2 or Penta 3, and not the passive Beovox Penta.
