About the PA 8.2
The AVM PA 8.2 is a high-end modular preamplifier designed for audiophiles seeking flexibility and superior sound quality. It supports up to eight input cards and three output cards, allowing configurations such as biamping or triamping. Input cards include MM/MC phono preamplifier, asynchronous DAC with USB, coaxial and optical inputs supporting PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD64/DSD128, FM tuner, line in (with or without tone & contour control), line out, and Bluetooth. The PA 8.2 features a class-A headphone amplifier and a dedicated Line Input Tone card providing Bass, Treble, Balance, and Loudness Contour controls for all analog modules. It has a newly designed, non-modular, doubly regulated oversize linear power supply with two proprietary 35VA toroidal transformers. The unit automatically recognizes installed cards and configures them accordingly. The chassis is made of massive aluminum with a tinted glass window embedded in the top cover, available in silver or black with an optional chrome front. Dimensions are 430 mm (W) x 130 mm (H) x 390 mm (D).
