About the Monitor
The Avalon Acoustics Monitor is a high-end 2-way, 2-driver bookshelf/standmount speaker system introduced around 1994-1997. Designed to suppress enclosure resonance and maximize driver performance, it features a narrow, thick baffle to minimize reflections and Caldas resonance-resistant internal wiring. Praised for extreme imaging, sweet highs, and nuanced detail retrieval, it offers crisp clarity though with modest bass response. Ideal for audiophiles prioritizing precision over deep bass. Sold with dedicated stands (24kg total system weight). Condition examples score 9.8/10 with minimal wear. Recent used pair pricing around €15,000-€21,500.
