About the Echelon
The Aural Symphonics Echelon Digital is a boutique high-end digital coaxial cable designed for SPDIF applications, featuring a 75 ohm impedance and high-speed precision data transfer. It is hand-assembled with WBT locking RCA connectors to ensure a secure fit and minimize signal reflection and ringing. The cable is approximately 1.3 meters in length and incorporates advanced design elements such as a 'voodoo ground circuit' in its 2016 revision, which also reduced module size and updated cosmetics. It is praised for its exceptional balance of extension, transparency, and dynamics, delivering a cleaner midrange and greater top-end extension compared to competitors. The cable effectively filters high-frequency hash without rolling off the top-end, resulting in a transparent and detailed sound with powerful yet well-defined bass. It has been highly recommended by reviewers for its combination of extension, balance, and transparency, and is considered a reference-level cable in its price range. The The product is no longer widely available new but remains sought after in used markets.
