The Audiovector R 3 Arreté is the flagship version of Audiovector’s compact R 3 floorstanding-loudspeaker platform. It is a passive 2.5-way, floor-radiating bass-reflex design made in Denmark, using two front-facing 165 mm (6.5 in) carbon-composite bass/midrange drivers and an R AMT Arreté Air Motion Transformer tweeter. Its downward-firing reflex system vents through the integrated plinth. The upper bass/mid driver crosses to the tweeter, while the lower driver is rolled off at a lower frequency. Arreté-specific engineering includes the R AMT Arreté tweeter, DFF crossover technology, titanium-technology coils, nanopore damping, internal shock absorbers, a carbon terminal plate, laminated baffle, non-parallel cabinet surfaces, and Audiovector’s Freedom Grounding Concept connection. It supports bi-wiring and provides a separate grounding terminal; the Freedom Grounding cable is not included. Audiovector’s current R 3 product page continues to list the Arreté version, so it should not be considered discontinued.
