About the DragonFly
The original AudioQuest DragonFly is a compact USB digital-to-analog converter and headphone amplifier designed for computer audio. It connects to a computer through its USB plug and provides an analog 3.5 mm output for headphones or an audio system. Its asynchronous USB transfer design and ESS Sabre 9023 DAC support playback up to 24-bit/96 kHz; higher-rate input is converted to 96 kHz. The original model was later superseded by the DragonFly v1.2 and is discontinued.
