About the Type 4
The AudioQuest Type 4 Speaker Cable is renowned for its excellent balance and suitability across a wide range of audio systems. It uses four solid, long-grain copper conductors—two 17-gauge and two 20-gauge—arranged in a Star-Quad configuration to reduce distortion and improve sound clarity. The cable incorporates Spread-Spectrum Technology (SST) to minimize the sonic signature of individual conductors, ensuring a cleaner and more dynamic sound.
