About the 88 A3
The Audiopax 88 A3 is the 2010 A3-generation version of Audiopax’s Model 88 single-ended monoblock tube power amplifier. It uses the company’s PTS (Perfect Triode Simulation) and ASTAT (Asymmetrical Series-Twin Amplifier Topology) designs, with two KT88 output tubes and two 12AT7 driver tubes per monoblock. Its Timbre Lock controls allow bias adjustment intended to tune the amplifier’s interaction with the loudspeakers. The A3 is a distinct revision of the Model 88; specifications published for the Model 88 generally may not capture every A3-specific change.
