About the AT33PTG
The AT33PTG is a dual moving-coil stereo phono cartridge, distinct from the later AT33PTG/II (also styled AT33PTG/2). The original model uses a MicroLinear stylus on a gold-plated boron cantilever and a neodymium magnet. Its low 0.3 mV output is intended for use with a compatible moving-coil phono input or head amplifier. Audio-Technica’s documentation identifies the original AT33PTG as a 1996 model; it was superseded by the AT33PTG/II.
