About the LS25
The Audio Research LS 25 is a vacuum tube line-level preamplifier designed to provide high-quality audio reproduction. It features a pure A-class balanced amplifier circuit and uses four ECC88/6922 tubes in the original model, while the LS25 MKII uses two 6H30 tubes. The preamplifier offers eight inputs, including balanced and unbalanced connections, and supports a wide range of audio sources. It includes two main outputs and one record output, all with balanced and unbalanced options. The LS 25 is equipped with a microprocessor-controlled system for precise volume adjustment and gain settings, allowing for individual gain memories for each input. It also features an auto-mute circuit for warm-up and brown-out protection.
