About the R Zero/II
The Audio Note (UK) R Zero/II is a compact, all-valve moving-magnet (MM) phono preamplifier from the Zero series. It uses two 6112WA miniature dual-triode valves in a single-ended, zero-negative-feedback, pure Class A circuit, with passive RIAA equalisation and a short signal path. The unit accepts one MM turntable input and provides one line-level RCA output for connection to a preamplifier or integrated amplifier. Moving-coil (MC) cartridges require a suitable external step-up transformer or head amplifier. The R Zero/II is listed in Audio Note (UK)'s current product and support materials, so it is not considered discontinued.
