The Audio Note Kassai Mono Power Amplifier is a pure Class A single-ended valve amplifier featuring a pair of 300B output valves in a parallel single-ended circuit. It is hand assembled and engineered for sonic performance rather than just technical specifications, fulfilling Audio Note (UK) Level 4 criteria including pure Class A operation, zero negative feedback, single-ended output stage, valve rectification, and directly heated triode operation. Each amplifier includes custom Audio Note (UK) output transformers with copper primary windings and silver secondary windings on UHiB double C cores, 1 Watt tantalum resistors, copper foil capacitors, silver internal wiring, and Black Gate capacitors in critical areas. The balanced version adds high-quality input transformers with copper primary and silver secondary windings. The amplifier delivers 18 watts RMS per channel into 4 or 8 ohm loads, with an input impedance of 100K ohm (600 ohm for balanced), and input sensitivity of 250mV (standard), 3.15V (low gain), or 1.6V (balanced). Valve complement includes 2 x 6SN7 (one per chassis), 4 x 300B (two per chassis), and 2 x 5U4GB (one per chassis). Dimensions are 195mm (H) x 205mm (W) x 500mm (D) per amplifier, weighing 20kg each. The amplifier is noted for its musicality, delivering a full musical construct without focusing on any single attribute, and is suitable for audiophiles who value music enjoyment and quality engineering. Due to Audio Note's policy, the product is supplied to order with an approximate 8-week build time and is not available for mail order.
