About the MC500HS
The Argent MC500HS is a high-output moving coil cartridge, featuring a Sapphire cantilever. It is noted for its high output of 1.9mV, making it suitable for use with moving magnet phono stages or high-gain moving coil preamps. The stylus tip is often described as having a Hyper-elliptical shape, though some sources mention a Parabolic Nude Diamond tip, which might be a conceptual or alternative description. This cartridge is no longer in production, which can make it a rare find for collectors and audiophiles.
