About the DV88
The Arcam DiVA DV88 DVD player, part of the DiVA series, was designed to outperform competitors in both audio and video performance at a realistic price, delivering CD sound quality comparable to Arcam's entry-level CD players. It supports DVD-Video, CD-DA (including HDCD), CD-R, CD-RW, and most MP3-encoded CDs. Key features include separate low-jitter master clock circuits and power supplies for audio and video paths, latest-generation DACs, precision pulse transformer in SPDIF output, and low-noise linear power supplies for audio. Video outputs utilize broadcast-quality parts for stability and sharpness. The custom remote controls DVD functions and Arcam amplifier volumes. It is discontinued, succeeded by models like DV88+ and DV89.
