About the A29
The A29 is a Class G integrated stereo amplifier designed to deliver 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 175 watts into 4 ohms, providing substantial power reserves and dynamic headroom. It utilizes Arcam's latest generation Class G topology, which combines the efficiency of Class AB with the sonic purity of Class A, resulting in less than one part per million distortion during normal operation. The amplifier features a toroidal transformer-based power supply, acoustically damped chassis, and complementary transistor output stages for low noise and high fidelity. It includes six line-level inputs, a configurable moving magnet phono input, a front-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input, and a high-quality headphone output. The A29 also offers a preamp output for system expansion and a 12V trigger for integration into home theater setups. Build quality is robust, with a solid aluminum front panel and ergonomic controls, reflecting Arcam's commitment to reliability and musical accuracy.
