About the A5
The ADAM Audio A5 is a discontinued, two-way active nearfield studio monitor with a front-ported bass-reflex enclosure. It combines an ART folded-ribbon tweeter with a 5.5-inch woofer made from a carbon-fibre and Rohacell sandwich. Separate built-in amplifiers power the drivers, and the monitor provides balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, along with Stereo Link connections for controlling a stereo pair from one speaker. Rear-panel controls allow adjustment of tweeter level and high- and low-frequency shelving.
