About the DC-1000
The Accuphase DC-1000 is a high-end standalone digital-to-analog converter and digital processor introduced as part of Accuphase’s 50th-anniversary product generation. It uses an ESS Technology ES9038PRO 32-bit HyperStream converter architecture configured with Accuphase’s 8MDSD processing for DSD and 8MDS++ processing for PCM, driving eight converter channels in parallel. The unit provides extensive digital connectivity, including proprietary HS-LINK, USB Type-B, AES/EBU, three coaxial inputs, and two optical inputs, together with coaxial and optical digital outputs. Its analog section offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, with selectable phase inversion on the balanced output and digital output-level control down to -80 dB.
