About the Elite 3 Box
The Audion Elite 3 Box Monoblock Amplifier features a mono-block design utilizing the highly regarded 845 vacuum tube. It is hand-built and uses solid silver wire in the audio stage to ensure superior signal purity. The amplifier is known for its fluid sound, with an enormous polypropylene power supply that provides excellent control of mid-band frequencies and crisp, open highs, allowing subtle musical nuances to be clearly appreciated. It is designed with proprietary Audion components and offers multiple AC input voltages (100V to 240V, internally changeable). The amplifier achieves distortion of less than 0.1% at 1 watt with no feedback, and has a noise level below -90 dB (CCIR). The input impedance is 100K ohms with sensitivity variable above 150mV for full output. The driver stage uses E182CC and 6H23N tubes ahead of the 845 output tube. Dimensions with tubes and volume control are approximately 490mm wide, 430mm deep, and 300mm tall, weighing about 22 kg. Fuse ratings are 2A for mains and 500mA for high tension (HT). This amplifier is highly regarded for its sound quality and craftsmanship, representing a premium product in the high-end audio market.
