The Benchmark AHB2 is a two-channel, solid-state power amplifier known for its exceptional sonic purity and ability to handle difficult speaker loads with ease. It utilizes THX AAA (Achromatic Audio Amplifier) technology, which includes forward error correction and a low-noise power supply stage. The amplifier is capable of delivering up to 100W per channel into 8 Ohms and up to 190W per channel into 4 Ohms. When bridged, it can output 380W into 8 Ohms in mono mode. It features a dynamic range of 132 dB, making it significantly quieter than many reference-quality amplifiers. The power supply stage uses an SMPS switching power supply with 90% efficiency. Connectivity options include a balanced stereo XLR input, multiway binding posts, Neutrik NL4 speaker outputs, and trigger connectors. The AHB2 is THX certified and supports high-resolution audio playback.
